Services

What I Handle

Seven services I run year-round — excavation, trees, drainage, stone, and plowing. Scroll through to see what each one actually looks like on a job site.

01
Landscaping & Design

Where Vision
Meets the Land

Design, installation, and seasonal maintenance. Plantings that fit how you actually use the yard — picked for what holds up in Lakes Region soil and what doesn’t.

02
Tree Removal & Service

Precision That
Protects

Tree removal, pruning, and stump grinding. Single trees with rot or lean, storm-damaged wood, or full lot clearing — done with care for what’s left standing.

03
Brush Hogging & Land Clearing

Reclaiming
Ground

Brush hogging, forestry mulching, lot clearing. Overgrown fields, fence lines, abandoned pastures, trails back through the woods — I open them up without flattening what shouldn’t go.

04
Excavation & Site Work

The Foundation
of Everything

Foundations, driveways, septic excavation, and site prep across central NH. The dig-and-level part of any project — done right the first time so the concrete, driveway, or septic system that follows actually holds.

05
Drainage & Septic Systems

Beneath the
Surface

Foundation drainage, curtain drains, perimeter rock beds, septic installs and repairs. The stuff you don’t see — but the stuff that decides whether the basement stays dry and the tank stops backing up.

Material Sales

Quality From
the Ground Up

Loam, mulch, gravel, crushed stone, sand. Delivered to the site or loaded at the yard — matched to what the job actually needs, not just what’s on the truck that day.

07
Winter Services

Reliable Through
the Storm

Snow plowing and sanding for driveways and small lots in Hill, Bristol, and the surrounding towns. Plowed before you’re up for work — through the big storms and the middle-of-the-night ones.

Meet the Owner

Shawn O'Connor

Fifteen-plus years working the land in central New Hampshire. Every project is handled by Shawn directly — no subcontracted crews, no unfamiliar faces showing up at your door. Just an owner-operator who's built his name on honest pricing and doing the work right the first time.

When he's not behind the wheel of an excavator or a plow truck, he's usually somewhere on the property with Amelia, the unofficial site manager.

Answers to Common Questions

What areas do you serve?
I’m based in Hill, NH and cover the full NH Lakes Region and the Newfound Lake towns — Hill, Bristol, Alexandria, Bridgewater, Hebron, Groton, Danbury, Franklin, Andover, New Hampton, Ashland, Plymouth, Holderness, Meredith, Center Harbor, Laconia, Gilford, Belmont, Tilton, Sanbornton, and Northfield. Neighboring town not listed? Give me a call — I’ll travel for the right project.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — fully licensed to operate in New Hampshire and fully insured. I’ll provide a certificate of insurance on request for any project, commercial or residential. Registered NH trade name, Business ID 878196.
How quickly can you start on my project?
Depends on season and scope. Single-day jobs like tree removal or stump grinding usually start within the week. Larger excavation and landscaping jobs run two to four weeks out. Call for current availability — I’ll give you a straight answer.
Do you require a deposit?
For larger projects I may ask for a deposit to cover materials upfront. Smaller jobs and snow plow contracts are paid as delivered. Every estimate is itemized — no hidden fees, no surprises on the final bill.
Is there a minimum job size?
No minimum for most services. I handle everything from a single leaning tree to full lot clearing, or a seasonal plow route. If it’s in my wheelhouse, I’ll take the call.
Do you handle emergencies or storm response?
Yes. During severe winter storms or after weather events — downed trees, washed-out driveways, ice emergencies — I prioritize existing customers and urgent calls. Call (603) 832-8315 directly for the fastest response.
How do I get an estimate?
Call (603) 832-8315 or email oconnorlandworks@gmail.com. Free estimates on every project — no pressure, no obligation. I respond within 24 hours, often the same day.
