A cord of properly seasoned hardwood is the difference between a warm house in January and a stove that won't stay lit. I cut and split from local New Hampshire hardwood, stack it to dry for a full season or two, and deliver across Hill (03243), Bristol (03222), Franklin (03235), Plymouth (03264), Laconia (03246), and the rest of central NH. Reserve early — I sell out most years by November.
What you actually get
- Hardwood mix. Oak, sugar maple, red maple, beech, ash, yellow birch — the good stuff. No pine, no hemlock, no soft fillers. Ash is abundant right now because of EAB; it's still a fine firewood when seasoned.
- Seasoned 9 to 18 months. Split and stacked to dry. Moisture meter reads under 20% before it goes on the truck.
- Cut to 16 inches. Standard stove length. If you run a bigger firebox (an outdoor wood boiler, say), I can cut longer on request.
- Split to usable size. Not oversize rounds you have to re-split. Usual splits are palm-to-forearm thick.
- Stacking available. Dumped in the driveway is included; stacked wherever you want it is an add-on if you don't want to do it yourself.
- Sizes: full cord (128 cu ft), half cord, or face cord.
Delivery area + timing
Base delivery area is anywhere inside about 20 miles of Hill: Bristol, Franklin, Plymouth, Alexandria, New Hampton, Bridgewater, and Laconia (including the Weirs Beach / Lake Winnipesaukee side). If you're further out, there's a small mileage fee on top — I'll quote the exact number when you call with an address.
Reserve early. Demand spikes every fall and by late October I'm usually booked out. If you wait for the first cold snap to call, there's a good chance I'm already plowing driveways and the firewood truck is parked. Best time to reserve for the 2026-27 winter is July through September.
Pricing + how to order
For 2026-27, seasoned hardwood is running roughly $375 to $475 per full cord delivered inside the base area, with half cord and face cord priced proportionally. Exact number depends on market prices and the mix I have in the stacks that season. Stacking is an add-on.
To order: call or text (603) 832-8315 with your address, how much wood you need, and whether you want it stacked. I'll confirm a delivery window within a couple of days. Payment on delivery — check, cash, or Venmo.
